Newberry Elementary School loses 14 teachers
An unusually high number of teachers have transferred away from Newberry Elementary School (NES) as the school undergoes a controversial push to convert into a charter school. The school has had 14 teachers leave as transfers this year, according to Alachua County Public Schools (ACPS) spokesperson Jackie Johnson.
