    Bronson Polish Festival 2024 Royal Court crowned Thursday night to begin weekend events

    BRONSON — Bronson Polish Festival royalty received their crowns Thursday night in St. Mary’s Catholic Church school gym to begin the annual three-day celebration of the community’s Polish heritage.

    The 2023 king, Randy Hyska, crowned Gary Ratkowski Polish Festival King for 2024. He comes from a long line of festival royalty, now in its 54th year.

    Festival council secretary and Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak received the crown as queen.

    Crowned as princess and prince were Veronica Bir and Carson Stevens.

    Vada Miller received the crown as the junior princess.

    Porter Ludwick was named junior prince, but at his request, his twin brother Wyatt received an honorary junior prince crown.

    The royal court presides over events during the weekend and will ride in the Saturday 1 p.m. parade down U.S. 12 through the city before the final dinner and polka dance at St. Mary’s gym from 5 to 9 p.m.
