City passes ordinance and solidifies opportunities for homeless population
Louisville has had a difficult history with homelessness, seeing a continuous increase in homelessness rates over the last year and a lack of shelters and housing options. However, the city and its officials have begun to construct ideas and ordinances to combat the issue. On Aug. 8, Metro Council unanimously passed a new ordinance that will require businesses to accept job applications with shelters or other temporary housing facilities in an applicant’s address line. This removes one of the many hurdles the homeless population faces.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Corvette celebrations continue as the National Corvette Museum celebrates their 30th anniversary. Friday, tons of people gathered at the Sloan Convention Center to celebrate with Dinner and Dancing. The event included hundreds of Corvette lovers, a plated dinner and live music by Bueler’s Day Off.
Volleyball Completes Cumberlands Invite 4-0, Sweeps Tennessee Wesleyan
The Keiser volleyball team completed Day 2 of the Cumberlands Invite, finishing the tournament with an undefeated record. The Seahawks defeated the Rams of Bluefield (Va.) (3-0; 25-15, 25-20, 25-19) and the Crusaders of William Carey (3-0; 25-13, 25-12, 25-14). In the evening, Keiser travelled to Athens, Tenn., to take on the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan, where the Seahawks continued their clean sweep streak by defeating the Bulldogs in three sets (25-12, 25-21, 25-22).
