NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police released surveillance footage on Wednesday of a suspect wanted for allegedly punching a Bronx bus rider in the face in an unprovoked attack last month.

At about 11 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, a 26-year-old man was on a BX2 MTA bus in the vicinity of Grand Concourse and East 183rd Street in Fordham Heights, when he approached and punched him in the face by the suspect, officials said.

The attacker then exited the bus and fled the location on foot, traveling northbound on Grand Concourse.

The suspect was last seen wearing green pants, a green shirt and a black jacket with white lining.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
