Sal convinced Yankees are destined for World Series run

As the Yankees continue to roll, and have looked like one of the best teams in baseball since the opening series of the season, Sal is convinced that a 28th World Series title is imminent.

And any argument about the Yankees looking a lot more pedestrian when Juan Soto is not in the lineup, like this past weekend against the Dodgers, is invalid.

“Soto is here. You don’t have to worry about without Soto, because Soto is here!” Sal said. “The Yankees will beat the Dodgers if they’re there in the World Series.

“I have no doubt the Yankees will be in the World Series. It’s a long way away from October, but there’s no doubt to me that the Yankees are the clear best team in baseball, assuming health.”

For Sal, the Yanks still need to prove they can do it in the playoffs, but they look unbeatable already, with the reigning Cy Young winner and the team’s top prospect still on the way back.

“Even if some performances fall off, some will pick back up,” Sal said. “They’ll get more guys in here, whether it’s [Jasson] Dominguez coming back healthy, and Gerrit Cole hasn’t pitched for them yet. So they’re going to get better.

“Sure, the Yankees haven’t proven themselves in the postseason, but they’re a machine!”
