Man killed, another injured in shooting during fight in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man was fatally shot and another wounded during a fight in the Bronx Wednesday night authorities said.

Police received a 911 call of an assault in progress at about 10 p.m., at Loring Place and Burnside Avenue in University Heights, officials said.

Upon arrival, police discovered 30-year-old Jonathan Cameron had been repeatedly shot and a 19-year-old man who had suffered a skull fracture.

EMS transported both victims to Saint Barnabas Hospital where Cameron was pronounced dead. The 19-year-old man is listed in stable condition.

So far, there have been no arrests made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
