Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms arrive after 4 p.m. - 12 a.m. Expect a few downpours, strong to damaging winds, thunder and lots of lightning. Another isolated shower or storm is possible after 12 a.m. A heat advisory is in effect through 9 p.m. tonight. Heat index up to 100 degrees. Wednesday marks day four of dangerous heat and humidity. An air quality alert is in effect from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. tonight. NEXT: Thursday morning commute is trending drier with improving humidity throughout the day. Highs in the mid- to upper-80s. Friday will be the pick of the week with loads of sunshine, good air quality and pleasantly warm temps in the low- to mid-80s. This weekend will be very warm, slightly humid with plenty of sunshine. We'll be taking a break from the extreme heat next week with highs close or slightly above normal. TONIGHT: Storms wrap-up around midnight, with a lingering shower possible through 6AM. Lows near 73. TOMORROW: Clouds clear for lots of sun after noon. Humidity goes down through the day. Highs near 87. Lows down to 69. FRIDAY: Going to feel like late summer, quite refreshing.
