Despite citywide drop in transit crime, it remains on the rise in the Bronx

City leaders reported on Wednesday that subway crime has dropped across New York City by 8% for 2024 and even more for just this past month. However, a closer look at the numbers shows that this isn't the exact case in the Bronx. According to city statistics, transit crime has increased by 9.4% in the last year across the borough.
