NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Friday released surveillance footage of two accused of beating and robbing a woman of her hearing aid at a Bronx gas station earlier this month.

It happened at approximately 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, when a 34-year-old woman was inside a convenience store at a BP gas station located at 99 East 149th St. in Mott Haven.

According to officials, the woman left her cell phone unattended on the counter. When the victim realized that her phone was taken, she confronted two women who then began punching her, knocking her to the ground.

The suspects then stole her wallet and hearing aid before fleeing to parts unknown.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
