Jazz Chisholm makes shocking Yankees history just days after trade

Jazz Chisholm wound up being the biggest addition for the New York Yankees at the trade deadline, and the move is already paying dividends.

Chisholm made his presence known Monday night during his second game with the team, in a 14-4 win, boosting the offense with a pair of home runs — one of which came by using Aaron Judge's bat .

But Chisholm wasn't done there. The newest Yankee hitter made some history Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies by hitting another pair of home runs.

His second blast of the night gave the Yankees a 5-4 lead in the top of the seventh inning. It also marked him as the only hitter in franchise history to hit four home runs in his first three games with the team.

Chisholm also is the second player with four home runs in his first three games with any franchise, joining Trevor Story in 2016, according to Sarah Langs .

He's also the first player with two multi-home run games in his first three games with any franchise, per Langs.

The Yankees needed more offense coming out of the trade deadline and while this pace is certainly unsustainable, it's encouraging that the lineup might be able to provide more help for Judge and Juan Soto.
