Annual Bronx Anti-Bullying Resource Fair Returns
On a sunny July 17th, the Bronx office of New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) hosted its 6th annual Anti-Bullying Resource Fair on 137th Street and Alexander Avenue in Mott Haven. NYPCC is a non-profit, community-oriented, mental health organization operating across New York State, offering several services to the community, mostly centered on therapy and counseling for those of all ages. This year marks its 50th annivesary.
Where Are 22 Speed Cameras in New York This Week
22 cameras are busting speeders on several roads in the Empire State this week, one in Central New York. The radar was installed as part of legislation, signed into law in September 2022. The cameras move around the state every week to different construction zones in an effort to get drivers to take their foot off the gas and keep workers safe.

GROSVENOR PARK OPEN AIR THEATRE, CHESTER – SATURDAY 31ST AUGUST 2024. Last night, I revisited the purpose-built outdoor theatre located in the lovely Grosvenor Park in Chester. This picturesque setting is once again hosting a season of live storytelling this summer, under the stars. One of the three performances this year is an adaptation of “The Gangs of New York” by award-winning writer Kieran Lynn and directed by John Young. This production is based on the iconic 1928 non-fiction book by Herbert Asbury, rather than the 2002 film by Martin Scorsese. The show tells a tale of the American Dream, fierce rivalries in New York’s notorious Five Points neighbourhood, and includes elements of humour and romance.

Woman fights off rapist in NJ mall bathroom attack, cops say
HACKENSACK — A woman managed to save herself from a terrifying attack in a North Jersey mall restroom. Craig Herbert, 30, of New Milford was arrested on Friday, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Stonybrook pool membership dips; $1M gross revenue seen
HILLSDALE—Councilwoman Abby Lundy reported on July 16 that membership registration at Stonybrook Swim Club & Pool is “slightly down” this year. Lundy noted that revenues are down by “just under $15,000” at the pool.
