Where police will look for impaired drivers tonight

BROOK PARK, Ohio (WJW) – A local community is planning a sobriety checkpoint Thursday.

Brook Park police announced Wednesday that the department would be holding an OVI checkpoint on Thursday, August 1.

The checkpoint will be held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Snow Road.

According to Brook Park police, there have been 225 alcohol-related crashes in Cuyahoga County in 2024.

Among those crashes, the department says 18 people were killed.

OVI checkpoints are funded by federal grant money.
