3 ex-employees of N.J. law school admit stealing $1.3M from university
Three former employees of Seton Hall Law School have pleaded guilty to a $1.3 million scheme to defraud the university, authorities said. The trio admitted to a wide-ranging scam that included asking vendors to pay them directly, purchasing hundreds of thousands dollars worth of gift cards and forming a shell company to bill the university for services never rendered, U.S. District Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced Friday.

EDISON, NJ - The township has tabled an ordinance to amend the Amboy Avenue Redevelopment Plan. The ordinance would have reduced the maximum height for new mixed-use buildings. The council voted four to two to table the ordinance at their regular meeting on Wednesday. The ordinance aimed to reduce the permissible height for mixed-use retail and office buildings. Jack Curry of YES Network reports that the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays have held multiple discussions regarding various trade pieces. NEW YORK (AP) — Kodai Senga’s injury-delayed season debut for the New York Mets was cut short after 5 1/3 innings and 73 pitches when he strained his left calf while pitching in an 8-4 win over the Atlanta Braves on Friday night. After inducing Austin Riley to pop up leading off the sixth, Senga pointed toward Pete Alonso and began sprinting off the mound to clear room for the first baseman. The 31-year-old right-hander grabbed his left calf and bounced for a couple steps before falling. Senga held his calf as he was surrounded by catcher Francisco Alvarez, manager Carlos Mendoza, his interpreter and an athletic trainer. Senga and the trainer rubbed Senga’s calf before Senga got up, exchanged hugs and handshakes with teammates on the infield and limped off. He was to have an MRI on Saturday.
