Yankees activate exciting outfield prospect off of IL, remains in Triple-A
Jasson Dominguez has been activated off of the Triple-A IL, and while he won’t join the New York Yankees just yet, he will get to build up in Scranton. The switch-hitting outfield phenom was destroying Scranton in his return this past Spring, posting a 173 wRC+ and .639 SLG% through nine games before straining his oblique. While it’s unclear whether the Yankees will call him up or not when he’s fully built up, the tools and talent are clearly tantalizing as evidenced by his electric debut week last summer.

Yankees 7, Red Sox 9: Bullpen finds new rock-bottom
Just when it seemed like the Yankees would pull of one of their bigger comeback victories of the season, the two highest-leverage relievers in the bullpen snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Aaron Judge clobbered a three-run tank where few if any balls fly in Fenway, and the chicken parm brothers — Anthony Volpe and Austin Wells — contributed solo shots, only to watch Luke Weaver and Clay Holmes combine to give up five runs in the seventh and eighth for yet another excruciating bullpen blowup loss, 9-7.
