MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The U.S. Department of Labor has approved federal disaster unemployment assistance for Vermonters who lost work because of flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl on July 9 through July 11, the state Labor Department said Monday. Brattleboro police are looking into what happened to a man whose body was found floating in the Whetstone Brook Saturday morning.
