Former Shipps Flower Shop starting to transform

BROOKHAVEN — The former Shipps Flower Shop is seeing some major work done to the exterior. Residents may have noticed a change to the front of the shop at 609 US51 S in Brookhaven.

Last year, a banner was displayed outside the business stating intentions to open Roadside BBQ/Wine and Spirits. The building is now owned by a Tupelo based company.

According to property ownership records, the parcel is owned by HSGS Properties LLC in Tupelo. Secretary of State Business records list three people associated with the business Harijt Singh, GaGandeep Singh and Steven E. Cork.

At this time, neither a liquor license nor health inspection has been issued for the address.
