Brookhaven Animal Rescue League still needs the public’s help to locate a former BARL dog that went missing recently.

“Miss” is a very shy mixed-breed dog, white in color with faint spots, weighing around 37 pounds. She went missing sometime during the July 4 th holiday weekend on Weeks Lane off Hwy. 550 and Dunn Ratcliff Road.

A BARL worker was told the dog was outside her new home and went missing. BARL workers say Miss is extremely shy, and most likely will not go to anyone except her BARL caregivers.

“Miss was with us for almost a year. She had finally gotten to where she would let the main BARL workers and volunteers pet her,” said BARL’s Beth Adcock.

Someone reported a possible sighting of Miss about 1,000 feet south of Dunn Ratcliff Road on Weeks Lane.

Anyone with information is asked to call 601-757-3211.
