Bridge in Braxton County is expected to be closed for 30 days for repairs
BRAXTON COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A bridge in Braxton County is expected to be closed for 30 days beginning Monday as repairs are made. According to the Burnsville Lake, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the bridge is located near the Motel 79 in the area and all traffic will be rerouted via Circle Drive.
Parkersburg Police pull man from Ohio River
PARKERSBURG — Parkersburg Police pulled a man in distress from the Ohio River early Sunday morning. Officers received a report of someone struggling in the river around 1 a.m. Sunday, Parkersburg Police Capt. R.L. Koher said. The man was in a kayak on the Belpre side of the river, so officers crossed the bridge and parked at Rite Aid, where they could hear him yelling for help.

WEIRTON, WV — The members of Club 3:16, a faith-based youth group, held a Club 3:16 Fun Fest to give back to the youth in the Ohio Valley. "There are so many kids out there who aren't benefiting from going to a swimming pool or participating in other activities, so we wanted to do something for the community to give back," said Patti Barnabei, founder of Club 3:16.

Mountaineer Brewfest hopes event will fund renovations, offer free housing for veterans
OHIO COUNTY, WV — The Mountaineer Brewfest committee began cleanup on the Helping Heroes building in Wheeling on Saturday. Their efforts are a part of the 10th annual Mountaineer Brewfest, as the nonprofit was chosen as this year's charity. All funds raised at the event will assist in renovating the Helping Heroes building.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A synagogue in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh's office building were vandalized early Monday morning.Chabad of Squirrel Hill was defaced with spray paint overnight.
