BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — The Renner Royals legion baseball team is now 3-0 in the class ‘A’ state tournament, following a dominant 10-0 win over Watertown Thursday.

Renner was supposed to play the nightcap on Wednesday, but severe weather pushed their game back to Thursday at noon.

They defeated Brookings to advance to the semifinals.

Renner would take a seven hour break and return to the field to play Watertown.

The Royals scored one in the first and three more in the second. Post 307 never looked back adding six more over the next three innings to claim a five inning win.

Renner will play Harrisburg Gold on Friday.
