Keene launches ward initiative to enhance city maintenance and community engagement
KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The City of Keene is set to launch a new initiative this fall called Ward Optimization Weeks (WOW). The program, designed to enhance the city’s maintenance efforts, will focus on each of the city’s five wards over a series of weeks. The goal is to ensure that maintenance services are evenly distributed across the city, addressing specific needs identified by residents and improving the overall condition of the city’s infrastructure.

Tree Inventory and Management Plan Project
The Town’s Community Development and Conservation Departments have officially kicked off a Tree Inventory and Management Plan project with a contracted consultant, Davey Resource Group! This project, which is called for in the Town's Master Plan, will result in an inventory of public shade trees in areas such as public parks, schools, playgrounds, and along rights-of-way in the downtown area. Depending on where you are, you may see members of the consultant team out and about in their bright yellow or orange shirts inspecting trees and measuring their trunks during the next several weeks.

Mom in North Andover tragedy had history of mental health issues
NORTH ANDOVER - A North Andover mother killed her 9-month-old boy before taking her own life, the Essex County District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday. Holtec to DEP: State has no authority to ban radioactive water discharge into Cape Cod Bay
The company that owns the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, Holtec International, has filed an appeal seeking to discharge radioactive water into Cape Cod Bay.
