I bring a unique blend of humility, impartiality and a broad range of professional skills to the Brooklyn Center City Council. Humility ensures I remain open to feedback and criticism, avoiding the pitfalls of echo-chamber policymaking. This approach guarantees that constituents’ voices are heard and valued. Impartiality is crucial for true justice, as policies and laws should be applied equally to all, regardless of circumstances or appearance. This principle is fundamental in protecting the rights of all individuals, especially those in the minority. Additionally, I have developed strong professional skills that will help me serve you well. I am a good listener, hard-working, an innovator, and guided by a strong moral compass. What is an ongoing, citywide issue that you feel passionate about? How do you feel it should be prioritized or addressed?

An ongoing, citywide issue I am passionate about is improving communication with residents. Effective communication is crucial for keeping our community informed about city happenings, services, programs and offerings at the community center. Currently, many residents struggle to find information on the city website and face difficulties signing up for services. This issue should be prioritized by enhancing the user-friendliness of the city website, ensuring information is easily accessible and regularly updated. Additionally, implementing a robust outreach strategy, including social media, newsletters, and community meetings, can help bridge the communication gap. By addressing this issue, we can ensure that all residents are well-informed and engaged, leading to a more connected and empowered community.
