After 25 years, Nick Foster will hold the final Pleasant Prairie Threshing Bee on July 27. Foster is the president of the Greene County Historical Society, a farmer in Jefferson, and he collects antique tractors and farming equipment. Grand Junction summerfest set for first weekend in August
50107 Summerfest will be held on August 2 and August 3 in Grand Junction. Most of the fun will happen in the old school lot, unless noted. Festivities start at 4 p.m. on Friday night with the opening of the beer tent. Gotcha Games Carnival, food vendors (Borrachos & Kona Ice), Greene County Cattlemen and yard games will start at 5 p.m. The carnival is the same group that was at the Bell Tower Festival. Burnin’ Sensations will play from 7-11 p.m.
