A hit-and-run driver fatally struck a Brooklyn woman early on Tuesday morning close to W58th Street and 10th Avenue, according to police reports.

The unidentified driver was in a dark-colored SUV when the incident occurred at approximately 3:40am, and did not remain on the scene.

Police said that Lisette Guillen from Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, aged 28, had been sitting in the middle of W58th Street, near to the Mount Sinai West Emergency Department, when she was fatally struck by the vehicle. Emergency medical services pronounced her dead at the scene.

A worker at G&G Deli Grocery (10th Ave bw W58th/57th St) which is open 24 hours, said employees noticed the street was closed off by police activity, early in the morning. The deli’s security footage didn’t pick up the hit-and-run because it took place across from the hospital, between 10th and 9th Avenues, he added.

No arrests have been made and the NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad’s investigation remains ongoing.

The last hit-and-run in Hell’s Kitchen occurred in January when a black Toyota injured a mother and her two sons as they crossed W42nd Street and 9th Avenue.
