    Man, 72, punched at Brooklyn subway station

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a man accused of punching a 72-year-old man at a Brooklyn subways station earlier this week.

    It was reported to the police that on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at approximately 9:15 a.m. inside the 25th Street subway station on a southbound R train in South Slope.

    According to officials, the suspect approached a 72-year-old man and a verbal dispute ensued.

    The dispute escalated when the suspect punched the victim in the head, causing minor injuries.

    The suspect fled the station to parts unknown.

    The victim received medical attention at the scene of the incident.
