NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A woman with a hammer smashed multiple MetroCard machines at a subway station near Brooklyn College in the middle of the afternoon, police said Tuesday.

The NYPD released images showing the alleged vandal wearing a shirt of McLovin from the 2007 comedy "Superbad."

According to police, she walked into the Flatbush Avenue–Brooklyn College station in Flatbush around 1 p.m. on July 3, removed a hammer from her backpack and began "smashing the MetroCard machines."

The vandalism caused an unspecified amount of damage to the equipment, police said.

    No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
