    Woman allegedly smashes MetroCard machines in Brooklyn subway station: NYPD

    BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A woman is accused of smashing MetroCard machines inside a Brooklyn subway station on July 3, according to the NYPD.

    It happened at the Flatbush Avenue station, where the Nos. 2 and 5 lines are located. The suspect allegedly took a hammer from her backpack and began smashing MetroCard machines, per police.

    No injuries were reported. It’s not known how much the damage to the machines will cost, according to authorities.
