It hurts when you’re doom scrolling and see an acquaintance drinking a cocktail on the beach. If you can’t swing the vacation to some tropical oasis, a trip to Tabú in Williamsburg might ease the pain. The restaurant with a massive outdoor space is lifted straight out of a Tulum beach club—from the floating house covers of Pride(In The Name Of Love) by U2 to the beige couches, a bubbling water feature, the indoor/outdoor bar, and some colorful cocktails. Those cocktails, bolstered by a long, agave-heavy spirits list, are very refreshing (we like the Paraiso in a tiki mug), and the seafood (from an Oxomoco and Mission Ceviche alum) is worth dabbling in. Try an aguachile rojo—delicate and sweet with strawberries—or some light, flaky fish tacos.
