Maranatha Christian Academy softball won its third consecutive Skyline Conference championship last week.

The results across the conference settled to leave the Mustangs top of the standings with a 9-1 Skyline record.

The Mustangs played four games last week, all non-conference, losing to Holy Family 12-6 and Spring Lake Park 3-1, while beating Fridley-Heights 10-0 and Visitation 12-10.

Prior to last week, Maranatha had won five of its last six games, including conference wins over St. Croix Prep, St. Croix Lutheran and St. Agnes.

Junior Alaina Dunham leads the team on runs with 22 from 49 at-bats and 20 hits. Kendall Capp and Ashley Yost are tied for most RBI hits with 16 each.

Maranatha will begin its section run the following week, hosting Maple Lake in the 5AA tournament on May 20 (after this edition went to press).
