Fergus Falls Man Sentenced To Prison For His Role in Drug Overdose Case
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — A Fergus Falls man is sentenced to over 6 years in prison after pleading guilty to 3rd Degree Murder. 23-year-old Frankie Reed III admitted to selling M30 pills to Matthew Millsop who died of an overdose in March 2023 at a transitional housing facility.

Fourth of July Holiday Brings Government Office, Business Closures
(KNSI) – Time at the lake, grilling, and fireworks are staples of Independence Day here in Minnesota. The federal holiday also comes with disruptions. The United States Postal Service will not be making deliveries. All federal departments and courts, as well as state government services, are closed. Area cities have already alerted people that municipal offices will also take the day off. That includes garbage pick up and the St. Cloud Compost Site, which will reopen Friday at its normal time of 1:00 p.m. Counties will be similarly affected.

UPDATE: Storage Unit Fire in Ogema
Early Monday morning, shortly before 4am a fire was reported at the Ogema Storage Units. Authorities were able to put out the fire that spread through almost half of the units. The units that sustained heavy damage included those rented out by Public Health, the ICW, the Ogema Bank and the Ogema Fire Department nearly lost their very first Fire Truck. It is hoped that a local business will be able to bring this 1929 Fire Truck back to parade readiness. At this time the State Fire Marshall is investigating the fire. If you have any information that will lead to the party responsible for starting the fire you are asked to call the tip line at 800-723-2020. A reward, up to $5000, will be issued if the information leads the authorities to identify who is responsible. As more details are released we will keep you updated.

A resident on the south shore of Lake Miltona reported witnessing a boater being thrown overboard, and the unoccupied boat still in operation, spinning in a circle.
