    MONDAY, JULY 22-SUNDAY, JULY 28

    PROJECT PABST — Returning for the first time since 2017 and sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, Project Pabst will take place July 27-28 at Waterfront Park. It’s a great lineup with Billy Idol, T-Pain, Big Thief and Violent Femmes. There’ll also be local acts like Gossip and hip-hop acts like Denzel Curry and Kenny Mason.     OLD FASHIONED FESTIVAL — Explore the times of yore as the Newbergundians do each year, with parades, a coronation, a dog costume show and musicians at the Old Fashioned Festival July 25-28, predominantly at Renne Park in Newberg.     FAIRVIEW ON THE GREEN — Fairview’s annual summer gathering is unique because it focuses on kids and families. Fairview on the Green returns 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Community Park, 21600 N.E. Park Lane, Fairview. Like always, it is a child’s wonderland: a kids zone and live music, food and art, and “Chalk the Walk,” encouraging participants to draw and color in front of City Hall. That will include prizes for various categories, celebrating the local sidewalk artists.

    GREAT OREGON STEAM UP — The 54th annual Great Oregon Steam-Up is 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, July 27-28, Aug. 3-4 at Powerland Heritage Park, 3995 Brooklake Road NE, Brooks (I-5 Exit 263). “Immerse yourself in a bygone era at The Great Oregon Steam-Up, a riveting spectacle where colossal steam-powered machines come alive, telling the untold tales of Oregon's rich industrial past — an exciting journey into history that's too fascinating to miss!” Cost: $17 for adults; $12 for ages 13-17; ages 12 and younger free; parking $5.     SANDY CARS — Car enthusiasts, start your engines and prepare your stomachs for the 65th annual Sandy Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast and Cruise-In from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 28. For one day only, the Kiwanis will flip flapjacks while you flip over a collection of hotrods at Hull Park and Learning Center, 43233 S.E. Oral Hull Road, Sandy.
