Bon appétit! Try some delicious crepes at this Gem of Tampa Bay

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — This gem will make you feel like you have traveled to France, for a few hours.

The Lazy Maid Crêperie is a family-owned and operated business that is housed in a historic home in Brooksville.

The restaurant is known for their variety of crepes, ranging from sweet to savory flavors, with peppers and mushrooms.

A crepe is similar to a pancake, but significantly thinner and often topped with fruit and whipped cream.

Customers can order crepes with raspberries, strawberries, and peaches to name a few options.

“They’re beautiful, they’re like little pieces of artwork,” The Lazy Maid Crêperie Owner Valerie Doyle said.

Valerie and her husband, Wayne Doyle, opened up the Paris-themed spot, with their daughter Maygan as the face of the company.

A photo of Maygan was taken and transformed into a caricature that is now used on the sign outside of the creperie.

Visitors will see French artwork on the walls and even listen to French music out on the front patio while enjoying a mimosa or a coffee.

“We have so many regulars now.” Valerie Doyle said. “They come back and say, ‘I’m so happy when I’m here.'”

The Lazy Maid Crêperie is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
