CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have already raised a combined $1 billion for their 2024 campaigns. You likely have already received the phone calls, texts, emails, and mailers asking you to donate money to one of this November's candidates. There's no shortage of passion for the candidates this year, and that means the candidates are going to be playing on that passion to raise the funds they need to win. Avon Choirs Gear Up for Busy School Year
With Avon schools back in session, the nationally known choir program is set to have another busy year. “Avon has fantastic support for the performing arts through our administration and the community,” said Leah Trigg, director of choirs. “There are so many different facets of performance, from the musicians behind the risers to the lighting and design. Choir is a very visual project that represents all areas of performing arts in one.”

Indianapolis police officers shot, expected to recover
Update: IMPD noted in an email sent Monday morning, that police have not yet made an arrest relating to Friday's night shooting, which sent one officer to the hospital. Lake Monroe’s algae blooms will worsen without prevention
This story has been updated. Algae blooms foul the taste of Bloomington’s drinking water most summers, but some prevention can lessen the effects of the blooms. Indiana State Parks’ Deputy Director of Stewardship Ginger Murphy said blue-green algae thrives in Lake Monroe when nutrient-rich fertilizer and waste wash into the lake. She said algae blooms can produce toxins that endanger people and animals. She said Lake Monroe is safe for visitors provided they shower after swimming, but dogs should stay out of Indiana lakes.
