Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway marks 10th anniversary with big bash
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend. Friday’s hours were 7 p.m. through 10 p.m. Saturday’s are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. All guests under 21 must enter from the lower racing entrance, all other entrances are only 21+ only.
Dayton celebrates 18th annual African American Cultural Festival at RiverScape
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- The 18th annual Dayton African American Cultural Festival weekend began on Saturday, August 17 at RiverScape MetroPark and ran from noon to 8 p.m. The free family-friendly festival focused on celebrating culture and community. It had multiple cultural experiences, including the Black Authors’ Pavilion, traditional drumming, traditional storytelling, and live music. There were also kids' activities, vendors and healthcare screenings.
Unseasonably cool temperatures expected for the start of the work week
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Scattered showers are spread across Ohio and West Virginia as a low pressure continues to move past to our north. The cold front associated with the system slowed down which is why temperatures managed to climb to the mid 80s today, though it is working its way through the area this evening. Overnight the showers will taper off behind the cold front as temperatures fall to the mid 60s.

Darke County Deputies investigates reports of “loud booms”
DARKE COUNTY – On Saturday, Darke County Deputies investigated a call on a couple of loud booms reported in the area of the 8800 block of SR 49, north of Greenville. According to Darke County Sheriff Mark Whittaker, Deputies were unable to locate the source of the sounds.
