“Let’s get this fixed now,” revised ‘Chronic Problem Properties’ ordinance approved
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Back in 2017, Fort Wayne city leaders introduced an ordinance to help deal with constant 911 calls to the same locations. The original solution was presented as this: if a commercial property, like a motel, received 12 or more valid complaints within 90 days it would be considered a “problem property” and owners could face a fine.

WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - History buffs took to the streets Tuesday night in downtown Wapakoneta to learn more about the rich history of the Auglaize County seat. The Auglaize County Historical Society hosted tours beginning at the Auglaize County Municipal Court and took local residents through Downtown Wapak to learn about some of the buildings they may drive by every single day. The tour included stops at the local post office and the Wapa Theatre, as well as various shops and restaurants along East Auglaize Street. The goal is to let residents learn something new about the city they live in.

Illinois man takes plea deal in fatal 2023 shooting
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 30-year-old Illinois man accepted a plea agreement Tuesday in connection with the fatal 2023 shooting of a Fort Wayne man. Jesse Shears was one of four people charged with murder in connection with the death of 40-year-old Dennis Starr of Fort Wayne. Samuel Evans III, 51, 24-year-old Samuel Evans IV and 26-year-old Lexus Evans, a father and his two children, were also charged in the case.
