School year at a glance: When does your school district close for breaks this year?

Winter break, Spring break and the last day of school are among the many important dates during the school year. But when are they this year?

Although these school districts can be in the same county, they might take different days off for semester breaks. Find your local school district in this list to find the right dates.

No school district will have school on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Algonac Community Schools

• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Mid-Winter Break will take place from Feb. 14 to Feb 17
• Spring Break will take place from March 24 to March 28
• Algonac Community Schools will not have school from April 18 to April 21
• The last day of school for Algonac is June 13

Brown City Community Schools

• Thanksgiving Break will be from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29
• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Brown City Community Schools will not hold classes on Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents Day
• Brown City Community Schools will not hold classes on March 12
• Spring Break will take place from March 31 to April 4
• Brown City Community Schools will not hold classes on April 18 in observance of Good Friday
• The last day of school for Brown City is June 10

Capac Community Schools

• Thanksgiving Break will be from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29
• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Mid-Winter Break will take place from Feb. 14 to Feb 17
• Spring Break will take place from March 24 to March 28
• Easter Break will be from April 18 to April 21
• The last day of school for Capac is June 5

Carsonville-Port Sanilac Community Schools

• Carsonville-Port Sanilac Community Schools will be closed Nov. 15 for the start of hunting season
• Thanksgiving Break will be from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29
• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Carsonville-Port Sanilac Community Schools will be closed on Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents Day
• Spring Break will take place from March 31 to April 4
• Carsonville-Port Sanilac Community Schools will be closed April 18 in observance of Good Friday
• The last day of school for Carsonville-Port Sanilac is June 5

Croswell-Lexington Community Schools

• Thanksgiving Break will be from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29
• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Mid-Winter Break will take place from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17
• Spring Break will take place from March 28 to April 4
• Easter Break will take place from April 18 to April 21
• The last day of school for Croswell-Lexington is June 10

Deckerville Community Schools

• Deckerville Community Schools will be closed Nov. 15 for the start of hunting season
• Thanksgiving Break will be from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29
• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Deckerville Community Schools will be closed Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents Day
• Spring Break will take place from March 21 to April 4
• Deckerville Community Schools will be closed April 18 in observance of Good Friday
• The last day of school for Deckerville is June 6

East China School District

• Thanksgiving Break will be from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29
• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Mid-Winter Break will take place from Feb. 14 to Feb 17
• Spring Break will take place from March 24 to March 28
• Easter Break will take place from April 18 to April 21
• The last day of school for East China is June 11

Marlette Community Schools

• Marlette Community Schools will be closed Nov. 15 for the start of hunting season

• Christmas Break will take place from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
• Marlette Community Schools will be closed Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents Day

Marysville Public Schools

Marysville Public Schools has not finalized its 2024-25 school calendar as of July 16. The Times Herald was referred to the common calendar put out by St. Clair County RESA.

• Mid-Winter Break will take place from Feb. 14 to Feb 17

Peck Community Schools
