Nuggets, Bucks suffering from 'Small Market Syndrome'
Since 2020, the Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks have both won a championship. For Denver, it was the first banner in franchise history. Milwaukee had only raised one other, in 1971However, despite both teams possessing a top-three player in the NBA, Denver and Milwaukee have yet to push forward after their respective success. Instead, both teams appear to be trending backward. The Nuggets have lost elite role players to free agency in the past two offseasons. Last summer, it was Bruce Brown, and this year, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope signed with the Orlando Magic. On the other hand, Milwaukee chose to invest all...
Bucks Interested in Reunion With Former Top Pick
Former Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker could be looking to return to the NBA after a strong 2023-24 season overseas with FC Barcelona. The 29-year-old forward was one of the best players in college basketball en route to entering the 2014 NBA Draft. Parker was selected with the second pick...
Milwaukee's plan for Brook Lopez makes no sense
The Milwaukee Bucks are open to trading veteran center Brook Lopez in return for a first-round draft pick, according to columnist and reporter Gery Woelfel of Woelfel's Press Box. Sources claim the Bucks are still very receptive to trading veteran Brook Lopez, but the Bucks' asking price of a first-round draft pick for a 36-year-old center with a $23M contract is too rich.— Gery Woelfel (@GeryWoelfel) July 5, 2024 Lopez has one more year on his current contract, worth $23 million. Last season, he showed significant signs of decline. Lopez is still a high-level rim protector and can space the floor due to...

Since the acquisition of DL Hall prior to the season expectations have been very high. He was a consensus top pitching prospect while in the Orioles organization who had not been given a full opportunity in the major leagues as a starter. Brewers spurning Yankees in Corbin Burnes trade wasn't so ridiculous after all
Prying Brewers ace Corbin Burnes loose this offseason felt like a pipe dream -- until the Baltimore Orioles did it. Even with one year left to go before Burnes, angered by Brewers brass in his pre-2023 arbitration hearing, tested the free agent market and likely departed, this was an NL Central favorite shucking a Cy Young out of their rotation following the loss of Brandon Woodruff. No wonder they asked the Yankees for Spencer Jones, we all scoffed. They weren't serious about moving Burnes unless they could rip the Bombers off in the process.
