Bucks rookie AJ Johnson has officially signed his first NBA contract, according to the NBA’s transaction log. A 6-foot-5 guard, Johnson was born and raised in California but opted against playing college basketball stateside. He spent the 2023-24 season in Australia’s National Basketball League, playing for the Illawarra Hawks as part of the NBL’s Next Stars program.
2 arrested after altercation at Sam’s Club, OC spray used on bystanders
FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people were arrested after an altercation in which one of the individuals used OC spray, commonly known as pepper spray, on Friday, July 5. According to the Franklin Police Department, it happened around 5:30 p.m. at a Sam’s Club near 27th and Sycamore. Police responded to a report of a physical altercation inside the store. One of the subjects involved in the altercation used the spray on the other people involved in the altercation as well as bystanders, according to police.
Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo dominates for Greece, but tough task awaits
The Milwaukee Bucks' season was derailed by the injury Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered against the Boston Celtics in early April. Following an MRI scan and further assessments, Giannis was diagnosed with a strained soleus and, thankfully, no damage to his Achilles tendon. Unfortunately, he didn't recover in time for the NBA Playoffs but has been back in action for the Greece National Team in their Olympic Qualifying games.
Milwaukee man arrested on drug and gun charges
A 38-year-old Milwaukee man is facing drug and gun charges after being pulled over for a traffic violation in the town of Turtle. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle driven by Reymon D. Davis in the area of southbound Interstate 43 and East Hart Road just after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday after a run of his plates indicated that his license was suspended.

MILWAUKEE — Remote absentee ballot drop boxes will again be allowed in Wisconsin, after a state Supreme Court ruling Friday. A 2022 ruling barred the boxes except those at election clerk offices. However, a change in the court to a liberal majority led to the court revisiting and overturning the earlier ruling.
