Milwaukee election official reacts to drop box decision
MILWAUKEE — In the midst of a busy election season, the Wisconsin Supreme Court voted Friday to reinstate the use of ballot drop boxes across the state. The 4-3 ruling overturned a decision the state’s high court made less than two years ago; the previous ruling banned the use of ballot drop boxes. Spectrum News was there when crews removed all ballot boxes from Milwaukee back in 2022.

July 4 fireworks caused brief but hazardous air pollution in Milwaukee
The fireworks that lit up Milwaukee's skies Thursday night also produced air pollution that soared to hazardous levels in some neighborhoods. Data collected by MKE FreshAir Collective, a nonprofit air quality monitoring organization that operates 19 air quality sensors around the city, show the exponential rise of the local air quality index, which measures pollutant levels, during the July 4 festivities.

Milwaukee Youth Nonprofit Running Rebels Promotes Positivity Through Music with Volume Three of “Uplifted Project”
The Running Rebels has mentored Milwaukee’s youth since 1980 when Victor Barnett founded the organization. Barnett began with basketball as a way to connect and bond with the city youth as a mentor. Since then, Running Rebels mentored over 2,500 youth annually, engaging with them through various programs such as its athletics program, The Violence-Free Zone, Higher Education Learning Program (H.E.L.P), and the Lady Rebels program.
