Garfield Heights, OH. - It's a new year, and the children are back to school. While several businesses have expressed uproars about young people's behavior to and from school, a few parents are angry about plaques in the high school recognizing the First Black Superintendent and School Board that does not exist.

Education Matters. "If our school superintendent can't understand the gross error, and the school board is oblivious to the error, our young people are in big trouble," says a Garfield Heights Parent.

Several parents were on social media this evening; they noticed posts from the Garfield Heights School Board Members.

The post shows photos of plaques that say, "Dr. Richard Reynolds - Garfield Field Heights City School District First African American Superintendent." The other plaque says, "Garfield Field Heights City School District Board Members." Both plaques have photos of the Superintendent and the School Board Members.

The City of Garfield Heights has a School Board and a School District. Garfield Field Heights City School District does not exist. However, Garfield Heights City School District does.

According to the district's website, the Garfield Heights City School District is the public school system of Garfield Heights, Ohio.

"Garfield Field Heights City School District is on BOTH plaques, which is concerning. This is our school board and district leadership. These are the ones leading our children. Our kids are at the bottom of the rankings. There is too much chaos with our children. Mistakes can happen, but proudly displaying them is an embarrassment for all," scoffed a Garfield Heights Parent.

It is reported that both plaques are attached to a hallway at the Garfield Heights High School.
