United States of America. - "No one wants to feel unsafe, not even a common criminal. We want to know that we can walk our communities, shop at local stores, get gas, sit on our porches, go to work, come home, and be safe. When we leave our homes and jobs, we want to be safe. Today, this may not be the case. How do we bring calm to a storm that is out of control? Well, I found myself investing in cameras," stated Jay Williams of Maple Heights, OH.

There are many debates about safety and what works. One thing is certain: people and community groups want answers. Is it more jails, diversion programs, legislation, or block watch groups? What is it? Is it personal security cameras or smart cameras?

Community Members Sound Off About Cameras; Not Too Keen about Numbers.

Americans are feeling unsafe. "The media - the news outlets are always reporting crime stories - daily. Either someone is killed, robbed, carjacked, home burglarized, or assaulted, you name it. It's happening. Although the numbers - they say, are dropping, I don't believe them. Many neighbors have cameras on our homes, businesses, and some cars. Currently, I trust my cameras to scare criminals away from my home, or if they are bold enough to take a chance to commit a crime, then I hope that my security cameras' will help the police catch them," scoffed Williams

"I ordered a package. The post office said it was delivered but never dropped in my box. The camera proved that my package was never delivered, and the post office fully refunded me. Without cameras, I wouldn't have been able to prove that my package was not delivered," commented Diane Linston of Bedford Heights, Business Owner of Style of the Imagination.

As many individuals and businesses look for ways to keep themselves and their investments safe, they are trying to find reputable businesses that can fulfill their safety needs.

A few years ago, three former Amazon co-workers, Yun Zhang, Dave Crosby, and Dongsheng Song, discussed security techniques and tools in a roundtable. They worked with retail teams in tech. They noticed something wrong with the smart home industry; smart home gadgets were not top-notch, and in their opinion, it's because the smart products were not affordable or that smart. They left their jobs and set off on a mission to change that - making great technology accessible to everyone. They did just that: they created a new line of security cameras. Wyze smart home security cameras are affordable safety measures that ease the community's anxiety and provide solutions.

Americans Want to Be Safe; Are Communities Doing Enough?

Many community members ask what we can do to maintain law, order, and peace. While some neighbors seek immediate solutions, other communities have established block clubs and neighbor watches and requested police patrol and non-emergency numbers to check on their neighbors.

The City of Garfield and Maple Heights has orchestrated a "Neighbors on Duty" community program. In this program, neighbors are responsible for each other, their streets, and adjacent communities.

"Neighbors On Duty is a resident-led, unified approach to dealing with crime in our neighborhoods. Everyone in the community is concerned about safety, especially for our children and seniors," says organizer Jennifer Burke.

"Neighborhood groups can't do it all. I am a supporter of ring cameras' and cameras that can cover my entire home and business. When I am away, I want to see my home -inside my home, my office; however, my security camera is set up - especially for my kids. I want to ensure I can see them to know they are safe," commented Williams.

Reflections and Expectations of Cameras: Before I had them, I was a Victim of Property Crime.

As a renter in 2004, I was unfamiliar with cameras or alarms. I knew about renter's insurance but was unfamiliar with neighborhood groups that focused on chasing ill elements from the community. I was young and needed to be more invested in my neighborhood. The last thing on my mind was to become a victim. I was invincible - nothing could happen to me.

I lived in an impoverished neighborhood in a two-family structure. I was single and alone. I resided upstairs. One day, I went to the post office 10 minutes from home, and someone broke into my home. When I returned, my apartment was in shambles. I had been burglarized. I was traumatized. I had no recovery, no justice - no peace of mind. I broke my lease and moved within 30 days. I could not eat or sleep because I felt violated and alone. I kept asking myself, what could I have done to prevent myself from being a victim?

In 2008, I purchased a home in a decent neighborhood. Years later, there was another burglary. I did not lose much because I did not invest much, but I was building the value of my home. That was enough for me—no more burglaries, property destruction, or homeowner insurance increases! I began doing what others suggested years ago: investing in Wyze home security cameras.

The first camera was a gift from my niece, who lives in San Diego, California. I immediately placed "Wyze Cams" in my front window and downloaded the "Wyze app." Now, I can see my home when I am away. It also has a built-in spotlight and siren. It was affordable! Later, I invested in side and back cameras. I positioned my cameras to cover a portion of my neighbor's home next to me and across from me. They also have cameras. I also have motion detectors, brick basement windows, and bars. Oh, and I am involved with our street club. We look out for each other. Some may say that I went overboard. One thing is for sure: if a burglar or door salesman comes knocking on my door, I can see them from home, my office, or my car, whichever comes first; being safe and having peace of mind is my #1 priority.
