The Communal Anxiety of Safe and Unsafe Neighborhoods?

"Neighbors On Duty is a resident-led, unified approach to dealing with crime in our neighborhoods. Everyone in the community is concerned about safety, especially for our children and seniors," says organizer Jennifer Burke.

"Neighborhood groups can't do it all. I am a supporter of ring cameras' and cameras that can cover my entire home and business. Reflections and Expectations of Cameras: Before I had them, I was a Victim of Property Crime.

I could not eat or sleep because I felt violated and alone. I kept asking myself, what could I have done to prevent myself from being a victim?

In 2008, I purchased a home in a decent neighborhood. Years later, there was another burglary. I did not lose much because I did not invest much, but I was building the value of my home.
