Champions from the Livingston County Fair livestock shows will be in the ring again on Friday, but this will be the Auction Ring. The annual Premium Livestock Auction will start Friday at 7:00 pm, in the Jenkins Building. Highway Patrol Crash And Arrest Reports
A two-vehicle crash on US 65, five miles south of Chillicothe left one driver injured Thursday morning. State Troopers report the crash occurred on US 65 at LIV 416 at about 11:45 am. According to the report, both vehicles were southbound on US 65 and 75-year-old Judy Fraizer of Chillicothe began to slow to make a turn and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 91-year-old Donald Bevelle of Chillicothe.

Trenton Firefighters respond to smoke incident at Plaza Apartments
On July 18, 2024, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Trenton Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation at 715 Main St. Plaza Apartments, owned by Ozella Biswell. Upon arrival, firefighters found no smoke visible from the exterior. However, light smoke was detected inside the apartment. Firefighters quickly entered the premises and discovered a pot left on the stove, which the tenant had forgotten to turn off before leaving.

The board of directors at EPIC Church KC announced another church is interested in buying its current home off Route 291 in Independence.
