Dennis Welch dies in Bellmead bicycle accident with drunk driver
BELLMEAD, TX, (July 13, 2024) - Dennis Welch was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Bellmead on July 13. Bellmead Police said that a 14-year-old was taken into custody and charged in the alcohol-related crash. Two other suspects were arrested in connection with Welch’s death. Erika Ramirez Martinez, 40, was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering a child and one count of criminally negligent homicide.
