Man gets 34 years for sex abuse of teen girls
Waco, Tx (FOX 44) – A 57-year-old man has received a 34-year sentence after being convicted on counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact. The same 19th District Court jury that found him guilty of the two charges sentenced him to 17 years on each count, with Judge Thomas West granting the prosecutions request to “stack” the sentences. This means Scott VanZandt will have to complete one sentence before the next one begins. He was also assessed a $10,000 fine.

Eight people have come forward to accuse former Waco-area priest Anthony Odiong of misconduct, and two new sexual assault charges have been filed involving McLennan County women, Waco Police say. A task force in Florida on Tuesday arrested Odiong on felony child pornography possession charges based on a Waco warrant.
