Vehicle Crashes into Temple Apartment Complex, Driver Critically Injured
TEMPLE, Texas — A vehicle crashed into an apartment complex in Temple on Sunday, critically injuring the driver and displacing two residents. Temple Fire and Rescue responded to the incident at Adams Bend Apartments, located at 3101 W. Adams Ave., at 5:50 p.m. Crews found a single vehicle that had exited the roadway, struck a brick entrance, and rolled over a security fence before coming to rest against a building inside the complex, according to a press release from Temple Fire and Rescue.
Roadrunner All-Stars are headed to Waco Regional
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – For a second straight year the majors division All-Star team from Roadrunner Little League is headed to Waco, Texas, for the Southwest Little League Regional Tournament. This team is riding some major momentum as they went undefeated in district play, outscoring their opponents 65-2. When they won the state title, they outscored opponents 25-2. The team will play their first game in the southwest regional on Friday, August 2. The team earned a first-round bye in Waco, Texas, which means that they only need three wins to make it to the Little League World Series.
The Waco Police Department has filed two charges of indecent assault against a man, with eight survivors identified thus far
Waco, TX – Per reports, the department continues to search for additional survivors who may have been victimized by Anthony Odiong, and additional charges are pending. The Waco Police Department emphasizes that respect for survivors’ experiences is the highest priority. Survivors will not be required to go to court if they prefer not to, and their names will not be made public.

Temple community steps up local family after house fire
TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - Temple community members come together to hold a benefit for a Speegleville family that lost their house in a fire. Donna and Russ Pruitt recently lost their house in the Speegleville suburb of Waco. The fire department was unable to determine the cause of the fire. The house was unsalvageable.
