The Baby Batas ad Pike County Elementary School in Brundidge enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt at the school on Friday. The City of Brundidge partnered with Walmart D.C. 7019, local churches, several sororities, and fraternities who all assisted to make sure the event was a success. The purpose of having the event at PCES was to ensure that all children were provided with the opportunity to meet with the Easter Bunny. Brundidge Mayor Isabell Boyd, Mayor Pro Tempore and Byron Gaynor and Mayor Isabell Boyd.

The Baby Betas are a group of students at PCES in second, third and fourth grades. These students are sponsored by Rebecca Brooks, Jennifer Rhodes, and Kathryn Dennis. The goal of the Baby Betas is to maintain good grades, good behavior, and give back to others. They completed several community service projects last year including giving back to the City of Brundidge and nursing homes. Students in the Baby Betas also walked in the Christmas parade this year and sang on the porch of the Bass House. Mayor Isabell Boyd surprised the Baby Beta sponsors and students for giving back to others by giving back to them with Easter treats. The Baby Betas are very appreciative of Mayor Boyd and the City of Brundidge for providing these items for our students today.
