The theme of the Summer Reading Program at the Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library is “ Adventure Begins At Your Library. “

That’s a theme that promises to be great fun, said Garneshia Lampley, Tupper’s children’s services coordinator. “So, the library’s Summer Reading Program kickoff event on Saturday just had to be exciting and fun.

    “And, it was,” Lampley said.

On Saturday, the Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge Library kicked off its 2024 Summer Reading Program on the grounds of the Bass House. The youngsters had great fun “splashing” around, not in water, but in foam.

“The foam machine “churned” out a foam playground for the children to splash around without getting wet,” Lampley said.

Tupper’s Adventure Thursdays begin June 6 and end July 11.

A fun/learning adventure will be awaiting kids with a different exciting event each Thursday at the Brundidge Nutrition Center.

“Our performer lineup this year includes the Brennen Wild West Show, Animal Tales, Zoo 2 Go from Montgomery Zoo, Tommy Johns Presents, and a visit from Smokey Bear,” Lampley said.

Saturday Movie Mornings are back at 10 a.m. and will end June 29,

Registration for Summer Reading will remain open throughout the program.
