Ebony man charged with reckless handling of a firearm
LAWRENCEVILLE – Timothy Pearce, 56, from Ebony, Virginia is charged with reckless handling of a firearm on June 22, 2024 and public intoxication. Captain B. T. Evans with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said dispatch received a call from the clerk at Ebony General Store saying a female ran into the store and said her boyfriend shot at her and was chasing her. The clerk locked the door and called 911. Dispatch asked the clerk to have the female remain at the store until authorities could arrive. While en route, dispatch was notified that the female had been picked up by her son and was on the way back to Alberta. The clerk did not know the individual but thought she lived in the brick house right across the road from the store. The female said the boyfriend did not shoot at her but up in the air. The clerk did not want to write a statement or get involved.

Lawrenceville man charged with malicious wounding and shooting into a moving vehicle
LAWRENCEVILLE - Lekeim Nahjer Bell, 28, from Lawrenceville, Virginia is charged with malicious wounding and shooting into a moving vehicle on June 13, 2024. Captain B. T. Evans with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said at 8:09 p.m. the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a male subject who stated he was shot while driving after an altercation with occupants of another vehicle. He was unsure of the exact location of where the shooting but knew it was in Lawrenceville. The victim, identified as Justin Hill, 28, from Freeman, Virginia provided his current location and deputies and emergency services responded and provided possible life saving measures and he was transported to the hospital.
