Albany man admits to trafficking cocaine, marijuana
An Albany man is facing at least 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking cocaine and marijuana in the Capital Region. Brian Scott, 44, admitted in U.S. District Court that he and a co-conspirator sent drug couriers, known as “horses,” to transport cocaine to the North Country and marijuana to the Capital Region, the U.S. Attorney Office’s said. He also admitted to selling over 400 grams of cocaine to someone between May and September 2023.

Most of us have been able to remain dry during the afternoon and evening hours, however, there is a cold front to the west and ahead of this scattered showers and storms have developed. We will likely see some of these through the night tonight. Any storms that do move through will have the potential for some minor gusty winds up to around 40mph or so.
Police: Man arrested twice in 14 hours for stealing car, having drugs
An Orange County man was arrested in the Capital Region twice in 14 hours. William J. Mauriello, 38, of Warwick, was stopped on Route 50 in Wilton late Sunday evening for a traffic violation. Mauriello did not have a valid driver’s license, police said. Troopers also found a glass smoking device containing drug residue. They also found new items in the vehicle with price tags attached.
What Are The Expectations For UAlbany Football In 2024?
The expectations couldn't be higher for the UAlbany football program heading into this 2024 season. They were picked thirds in the CAA Conference pre season polls even those don't really matter that much. Last year the Great Danes were picked 11th and were co champions. Head Coach Greg Gattuso lost a lot of players but gains quite a few talented new ones too. He kept most of his coaches and coordinators which helps keep the relationships and stability within the program internally. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
