Brunswick store clerk tied up, held at gunpoint during robbery; 1 suspect in custody

BRUNSWICK, Ohio (WJW) – One suspect is in custody and law enforcement is searching for two others after an armed robbery in Brunswick Tuesday night.

Just before 9 p.m., officers were called to the Verizon Wireless store in the 3300 block of Center Road for reports of an armed robbery.

According to Brunswick police , an employee’s hands were zip-tied and he was held at gunpoint as three suspects took cash from the safe and other items before leaving the store.

During the investigation, officers arrested one of the suspects, Sean McCarthy, in Olmsted Township. He was taken to Medina County Jail on aggravated robbery and kidnapping charges.

Two other males suspects and still on the run. According to Brunswick police, they are considered armed and dangerous.
