Utah Food Bank Summer Food Service Program Provides Free Breakfast & Lunch to Garfield Co. Students, June 6 – Aug. 1
GARFIELD CO. – Even though school is out for the summer, students under eighteen in Garfield County can still receive breakfast and lunch through a new free summer meals program. Panguitch City Councilwoman Tracy Wright, and Panguitch Children’s Librarian Verlaine Spencer spearheaded the work to implement the program across the county and distribution began on June 6th and will last ten weeks, coming to an end on August 1st. Pick-up locations are the Panguitch City Library, the Bryce Canyon City Fire Department, and Escalante City Park.

It was a gloomy afternoon at Bryce Canyon, with sudden wind and rain. Due to the chilly weather, not many tourists were in the park. I was returning to my car after a short hike and suddenly realized that I had missed this amazing lone tree on my way up the hill.
